  1. Location of Tribe Gate


The tribe gate is located 2 kilometres away from Beach-03, Govind Nagar shoreline lying between the water channels of Havelock and John Lawerence Island.

The tribe gate is an oval-shaped hill reef scattered over 500 area beneath the sea surface. The reef mainly offers multi-points of sea anemones which are live corals and home of clown fish. 


  1. Marine life of Tribe Gate 


Tribe Gate is the junction point where you can witness multiple species of colourful reef fishlife. The reef is basically popular for its variety of reef fish species including barracudas, trevally, snappers, rabbitfish, sweetlips, triggerfish, pufferfish, groupers, needlefish, and many more. Popular live corals of the reef include sea anemones, brain corals, mushroom corals, fan corals, and potato corals.

The process of scuba diving at the tribe gate is sub-divided into the following parts


  • Basic paperwork
  • Shallow water training
  • Actual dive via speed boat

Basic paperwork


It is required to complete the basic formalities before you go for the actual scuba diving experience. You will need to fill out a medical questionnaire form at our dive shop to ensure you don’t have any medical issues and are fit for recreational scuba diving. The next process is to wear the dive suits after the form fills up.  


Note:- The age limit for recreational scuba diving is 12 to 50 years. 


Shallow water training


Once the basic formalities are complete, we take you to Beach-03, Govind Nagar for the practice session for scuba diving. We teach you the basic dive skills in chest-deep water and allow you adequate time to be fully confident and comfortable for the actual dive. 


Participants get to learn the following skills during a practice session


  • Underwater ear equalization

  • Slow, steady & deep breathing process

  • Water removal process from a diving mask underwater

  • Underwater hand signals


Actual dive via speed boat


After the training process, it’s time actually to dive underwater to witness colourful marine life. We take you to the Tribe Gate dive site via our speed boat for your actual diving. You make a backroll entry to enter into the water from the boat. We provide a personal instructor to everyone during the actual dive to make it completely safe and comfortable for everyone. 


Our dive instructors take you to the different parts of the reef to ensure you don’t miss out on anything during your actual dive. Scuba diving at tribe gate allows you to dive a maximum of 12 meters deep as per the limit set for non-certified divers. An additional cameraman captures your memorable footage underwater for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
