How do we conduct scuba diving in Andaman?
We follow a quieter simple process to conduct scuba diving for beginners or non-swimmers. Our professional dive crew start with a short briefing session to explain the probable dive site, existence of marine life, basic information about dive gear, prerequisite medical fitness, probable risks and safety measures.
The next step is to fill up a medical form to ensure that you don’t have any health issues with recreational scuba diving. After form fill up, you need to change your dress and put on a scuba dive suit. It will keep you warm and maintain your body temperature beneath the sea surface. We do provide small, medium, and XXL wet suits and have specific suits for children at least 7 years.
The next step is to complete a practical training session in shallow water. We provide training sessions at the chest-level water at the beach. It is a crucial part of smooth and safe underwater diving. During the training session, you get to learn multiple in-water skills essential for scuba diving. The training session may go up to 90 minutes to make you confident and comfortable for scuba diving. We demonstrate and let you practice required skills such as:
How to take slow and steady breaths from the regulator?
How to put an oxygen valve in the mouth accidentally pulled out underwater?
Follow all the instructions of your dive master and don’t touch anything underwater to keep yourself safe from possible risks.
How to release ear pressure underwater?
What are underwater hand signals and how to use them?
How to remove water from the eyes covering the mask underwater?
After the training session, the final step is to take you for the actual dive. We maintain guest and instructor ratio of 1:1 to ensure maximum safety and comfort for diving. A dive professional takes you underwater to a maximum depth of 12 meters depending on your comfort level. During your dive, you get to explore multiple species of fishlife, spacious coral structures, sea flora and fauna. An additional dive instructor record your photos and videos of the activity. Actual scuba diving time may go 30 to 50 minutes depending on your package selection. After diving, we transfer your scuba footage to your mobile phone or Pendrive.
What are recommended time slots for diving?
We do offer different time slots starting from early morning and the last time slot starts around 1.30 pm afternoon. We have 5.30 am, 7.30 am, 9.30 am, 11.30 am, and 1.30 pm time slots for scuba diving. One slot takes 3 hours from initial training to the actual dive. Each time slot is equally good to experience vibrant marine life. People mostly choose early morning slots to manage time to explore the rest of the Island.
